I recently stepped out on a ledge and launched my photography business. It's a little unnerving to put yourself out there and risk total failure, but it's also exhilarating.
I have to say though that I have been surprised by both those that have been supportive and those who haven't. There are people that I have known for years and consider them fairly close friends who have offered no congratulations or encouragement at all. Then there are those who I speak to rarely who go out of their way to offer support.
I am so grateful for the way God surprises me each day - using the most unexpected people. It reminds me that I have the opportunity to be a conduit of encouragement as well. I pray that He will keep me mindful of the power of exhortation.
Let me offer a word of encouragement to you . . . Go out and be a cheerleader for someone you know today. You may never know just how much it means!
